A restaurant housed in a converted old barn that revives a family tradition begun in 1914 by the owner's great-grandfather. Guests enjoy specialities from the restaurant's two open hearths in a cosy, rustic atmosphere — including meat dishes cooked under a traditional iron cover known as a peka, smoked trout and dishes cooked in earthenware pots. Cast-iron skillets on a fireplace with embers cook fresh trout, while an open fireplace and charcoal-fired grill handle various meats including calves, kids, lambs, pigs, octopus and seafood. They also serve artisanal products including farm cheese, home-cured pork loin, venison prosciutto, and indigenous Krško Polje pig bacon. Outside there is a volleyball court and a beautifully restored barn — described as having no equivalent in Slovenia.
